possible field 2016 - 2020 and the question of Brexit
In a referendum on 23 June 2016 51,89% of the participating United Kingdom
inhabitants voted to leave the EU. ("Brexit", British English
exit).
Will
the EU-Outerborderline change again and - by that - will the EU start
to shrink?
The
Prime Minister of the UK has therefore initiated the exit process from
EU in accordance with Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union on 29
March 2017 by giving written notice to the European Council.
By now, the United Kingdom is on the way to leave. The withdrawal date
would have fallen to the end of the contractually scheduled two-year negotiation
period to March 29, 2019. However, the European Council and the
British Government agreed on 21 March 2019 to postpone the deadline to
12 April 2019 at the earliest. On 10 April 2019 a new deadline
has been agreed: This is 31 October 2019.
Meanwhile, the deadline has been extended again: The EU leaders agreed
to a request from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on 28 October 2019,
meaning that Brexit will be pushed back to January 31, 2020.
Yes
or no or what?
The
procedure of the divorce is uncertain and creates a lot of fear, but also
activates questions of identity.
To whom do we want to belong? Who are we? The procedure creates a cut through
the country on a social level.
Next stop: 12 December 2019. New General election.
On
31 January 2020 United Kingdom left the European Union.
